Security forces secure Ambella-Daggar highway ISLAMABAD: Security forces took control of a vital link road between Ambella and Daggar, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

Two killed in Karachi shooting


KARACHI: Two people were killed amid firing by unknown militants in Orangi Town area here on Saturday, Geo news reported.

The two persons, Pervaiz Alam (30) and Nadeem (28) were sitting outside their house as they came under firing, police said.

According to police the killed persons hailed from banned religious outfit.

16 militants, 2 security men killed in Mohmand clash


PESHAWAR: Two security men were killed and three wounded in an attack over a check post in Mohmand Agency whereas 16 militants were killed and several others wounded in security forces retaliatory action.

According to reports, militants attacked a security check post in Spanki Tani area of Mohmand region killing two security men and wounding three others. Three security men were also missing in the action.

The forces in counter attack killed 16 militants while several others were wounded. Tension gripped the region after the incident.

Meanwhile, gunship helicopters were over flying in tehsil Ghazni and an operation said to be imminent in the region.
